You've heard of Rob Roy, Blood and Sand and Horse's Neck but never had the courage to order them for fear of seeming stodgy or old fashioned.  Too often Scotch cocktails are relegated to your grandfather's drink.  Scotch cocktails taste great and can range from the whimsical to the sophisticated with a surprisingly contemporary resonance, but Scotch is a notoriously difficult base to work with and it helps to have a skillful guide.
